I am a ChiRunning® and ChiWalking® Certified Instructor, with a special interest in energy efficiency and injury prevention.
As a USAT Certified Level 1 Triathlon coach, I have been committed to the triathlete lifestyle since 1999, when I completed my first Danskin Triathlon. Since then, I have competed at the USAT National Age Group Championships two times, placing 3rd (2002) and 1st (2003) in the Athena +40 category. I especially enjoy working with beginning and moderately experienced women age-group triathletes, particularly those training for Sprint and Olympic distance races. I have been a volunteer assisting with the women's triathlon group, Team CWW, since 2000, and now as a coach since 2005.
September 7, 2008, I did Ironman Wisconsin, in Madison, WI. My ChiRunning® and ChiWalking® skills were an essential part of my confidence that I could complete the Ironman (15:36.24) and still move the next day. It was an incredible experience!
In addition to coaching ChiRunning®, ChiWalking® and triathletes, I am a fulltime professional classical cellist with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. I am also a breast cancer survivor since 2004.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
